Horse owners, I have a question for you...

Is there any truth to this theory, rubbing listerine on a horse's tail and mane to stimulate hair growth? Sombody suggested I try it on myself, lost my hair due to chemo, it's coming back but thin in places. How do I go about doing this? Does it really work and how soon would I see results?
