There is nothing wrong with fountains that use reclaimed, circulating water.

It must be .... what an odd comment .... just how is this CNN's "fault"?      How very strange.

It probably is recirculating HOWEVER the perception is the water is being wasted no matter the truth.  I think it is in poor taste to show it.

This is such a sad indictment of people.

Don't watch CNN and they are always desperate for ratings

Are any of the cable news networks not desperate for ratings?

It appears that way, terrier3.

Silly isn't it ?

And petty.

Yes, and it's very disconcerting that people are taking pot shots at CA in one of our darkest hours.  So many people have lost everything, so much beauty has been destroyed, yet all some people can do is look for something petty to go after.  And it turns out they don't even know what they are talking about when it comes to the water.

I can think of lot of reasons to whack at CNN; but THAT is definitely not one of them.....lol    Good grief, OP had to reach pretty far for that one.  Apparently, she doesn't know that almost all fountains like that, in all major cities, are re-circulating, reclaimed water.

Reclaimed water or not, it seems really insensitive to what many are going through.  I am sure there are other lovely places that could have been used.

No, not insensitive.  Those of us who are "going through" it know what's up.

It was merely another cheap shot at CA.

OK if that is what you think, as always you must speak for all Californians.

However perception is everything, thus how the rest of the country perceive the CA water issues is being made by a lavish water fountain in the background.
