Does anyone know how to take an ink spot off a fridge?

WE had a ballpoint pen, hanging on a string, next to our calender, hanging on the fridge. It leaked a bit. My husband thought he would wipe it away and it smeared

I now have an ink spot the size of a quarter

I've tried comet, Dow bathroom cleaner, and hair spray on the spot. It lightens a bit, but nothing seems to budge it

He said he should have left it alone. Thank goodness our calender covers it up

Try Lestoil. It takes ballpoint ink out of clothing really well.

I was going to suggest hairspray on a cloth. Guess you tried that! I once read it worked best using "cheap" hairspray. Might be worth a shot.

Just did a Google search....try that....saw someone recommended oven cleaner

Removing Ink From Inside a Clothes Dryer (Metal):

For those ink stains that wind up inside your dryer or those that end up on other metal surfaces, the best type of ink stain removal will come from using simple rubbing alcohol on them. Apply with a clean, terry cloth. Rub to get the stain out. The newer the stain is, the better your chances of removing it.
