I love chick peas, and put them in all sorts of dishes. Here is a dip that is a family favorite.

    1 19oz. Can of chick peas ( rinsed and drained )

    2 cloves garlic chopped and mashed to a paste with 1/2 teaspoon. Salt

    1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves

1/4 cup water

3 tbs. fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup olive oil

    Blend in food processor except oil.Then with motor running add oil and check for salt.

It depends on the flavoring added , I don't particularly love it or hate it.

I don't eat it too often but if I do, it's a flavored Hummus from Sabra...usually the roasted Garlic.

I like hummas too.  Good with pita bread, baby carrots, cucumbers.

I like a homemade hummus.  I don't like the store-bought hummus.

We have a local place that makes hummus that is the best I've ever tried. I love it with cherub or yellow tomoatoes, baby carrots, pretzel sticks, or pita chips. Some afternoons I'll eat a whole tub of cherub tomatoes with hummus. I also like roasted red pepper hummus.

Love it but I make my own. I grew up with it. JMO, it hands down beats American spreads and dips. I add different ingredients to mine as well.

i have loved it way before it even became a "thing,"

have been eating it since the 1970s. it is very easy to make.

if you have the store bought you can doctor it up to make it taste more homemade......add extra garlic, lemon,.....top with a drizzle of olive oil, paprika, and chopped parsley.
