Re: Do you enjoy eating hummus?

Just had some on pita tonight, along with a Greek salad.  Also had some tzatziki, the yogurt/cucumber dip, which I also spread on pita.  I was in swine heaven!

My remark was that I could make it all the way through Lent without meat if I always dined on such goodies.

@mollybgood

Yes I do. Great for dipping veggies, and for me just eating it with a spoon. Not a bean I don't like and in many different forms.

Re: Do you enjoy eating hummus?

Love it for an afternoon snack with a beautiful carrot for dipping. I love it with lots of garlic and lemon.

Yes, love it!  But only homemade.  Hoummus, Tzatziki,Tabbouleh and Kibbi are all a staple in our home-

Don't think we could survive without them-

NO!  I hate the "looks" of it.  I can't eat it.  I hate odd-looking mushy food.

Re: Do you enjoy eating hummus?

Love it!

Costco has a hummus vendor who does roadshows in the stores several times a year.  There are several flavors to choose from.  The avocado one is delicious.

It's mushy looking because you spread it on things or dip into it   LOL!!!!!

Re: Do you enjoy eating hummus?

This looks a lot like my recipe, but mine also calls for 1/3 cup roasted tahini, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground cumin, and a dash of cayenne pepper.  I usually top it with freshly chopped parsley instead of adding it into the hummus but either way is good.  It always tastes better the next day.

I understand, but you're missing out big time.

My relatives in Michigan could not stand the look of my Chinese Chicken Salad and so it went uneaten at a funeral dinner, except for the helping I took.  What narrow-minded relatives I have!

I can't stand the look or taste of liver.  Now THAT is a case for hate, 'cause it got it just about shoved down my throat

Everybody -

Eat some for me.  I love it and cannot eat it any longer, due to kidney issues.  Boo...
