Something on another thread reminded me of this song. I think he sang it with his daughter. I know somewhere on here we can find the words to this song. It would be a good one to sing in our heads, year 'round.

He did record this quite some time ago on a Christmas album.

My nursing school class sang this at our graduation and it has always been a favorite of mine.Some of my classmates had husband's or boyfriends in Viet Nam so that was why we chose this song.

Vince Gill was more widely known when he was younger, but he is still a phenomenal talent. He doesn't get enough recognition outside of Nashville. I do believe he works with the up and coming artists in Nashville and is a very talented guitar player. I'd love to see him more!
