No matter what you must confront today, know that God is with you.
Lord, today is part of Your plan for me. I do not doubt You and therefore
I will not doubt You within me.

Scripture for the day:

"Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the
door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone
who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."
~Luke 11:9-10

Meditation for the day:

Persistence is necessary if we are to advance in spiritual things. By
persistent prayer, persistent, firm and simple trust, we can achieve the
treasures of the spirit. By persistent practice, we can eventually obtain
joy, peace, assurance, security, health, happiness and serenity.
Nothing is too great, in the spiritual realm for us to obtain, if we
persistently prepare ourselves for it.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may persistently carry out my spiritual exercises every day. I
pray that I may strive for peace and serenity.

Hello my friends! As suggested in the last thread - I will try to make this a weekly - and see how it goes, and how I should do it. If it doesn't go over very well, and more want it to stay the same, I'll do that - and so it isn't so many things to read here every day, I'll shorten it for your convenience. Today's blessings for me was calling 3 of my sisters and all's well with them, and had a nice visit - also took care of Ollie, Lori's dog, and he was a perfect little boy! Every day you are all in my prayers - and I thank you all for your prayers for us. Notice I didn't put the day on this title and the title doesn't have Daily anymore, but again, I'll do it again daily if that's what you want. This is a trial. May God bless you all!!

YOU ASK WHY I FOLLOW THIS JESUS?

You ask why I follow this Jesus?
Why I love Him the way I do?
When the world's turned away from His teachings
And the people who serve Him are few.

It's not the rewards I'm after
Or gifts that I hope to receive
It's the Presence that calls for commitment
It's the Spirit I trust and believe.

The Lord doesn't shelter His faithful
Or spare them all suffering and pain,
Like everyone else I have burdens,
And walk through my share of rain.

Yet He gives me a plan and a purpose,
And that joy only Christians have known,
I never know what comes tomorrow,
But I do know I'm never alone.

It's the love always there when you need it;
It's the words that redeem and inspire,
It's the longing to ever be with Him
That burns in my heart like a fire.

So you ask why I love my Lord Jesus?
Well, friend, that's so easy to see,
But the one thing that fills me with wonder is
Why Jesus loves someone like me.

From: GOD
To: All those who believe in me
Date: Today and Everyday
Subject: Life's problems

I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember
that I do not need your help. If the devil happens to deliver a situation to
you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in
the SFJTD (something for Jesus to do) box. It will be addressed in MY TIME,
not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it or
remove it.

Holding on or removal will delay the resolution of your problem. If it is a
situation that you think you are capable of handling, please consult me in
prayer to be sure that it is the proper resolution.

Because I do not sleep nor do I slumber, there is no need for you to lose
any sleep. Rest my child. If you need to contact me, I am only a prayer
away.

As with all good things, pass it on

PRAYER TO BEGIN THE DAY

As Morning breaks I think of you, O Lord, and my desire is to serve You joyfully. With gladness, I consecrate this day to Your Sacred Heart, and offer whatever joys and sacrifices may come my way. Thank You for the graces You will send - all the love, all the beauty, and the ways You will answer my prayers.

Today, may I love my enemies, and treat others as I would ask to be treated; may I forgive seventy-times-seven and show mercy; may I welcome the prodigal, have compassion for the Samaritan; be a peace-maker and love my neighbor unconditionally. Take all my heart, and mind and strength, O Lord, that this day may be truly lived for Your greater honor and glory and for the salvation of souls. Amen.
