Common household items you DON'T have

I was reading the things you keep in your purse thread and someone mentioned safety pins. We have no safety pins in our house. I never use them.

Other common things that I'm sure everyone in the universe has, but we don't:

safety pins

rubber bands- hmmm.... we have 1.

iron

baking Soda/baking powder

needle and thread (well, my husband might have some stashed somewhere, but I don't know where if he does.)

Anyone else living without some of the daily "essentials"?  I'm sure I have many more but can't think of more right now.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Common household items you DON'T have

I think I have everything in my household.., almost.

i could never live without safety pins, sewing notions or baking supplies.

What I am missing is make-up, body/hand lotion, polyester clothing &  bedding ( natural fabrics only) fabric softener and a radio ( except in my car)

if I lived alone, I would not own a TV and a million tools.

Oh man, you should come to my house.  I have more band-aids than I'll ever use - every size and type.  I don't know how it got that way, but it started with a big box of assorted sizes from Costco eons ago.  Then I needed more that were fabric - in a couple sizes - because I hurt myself all the time and they stay on better when I am doing chores.  It just snowballed, I guess.   Smiley Happy

@GinzTonic- too funny. I don't have any safety pins and only one rubber band, but we have 3,426,046 bandaids. I have no idea why.

A few months ago I noticed my husband had a bandaid on his finger. A Surfboard Barbie bandaid!  I bought them because I thought they were cute, LOL.
