Those people ARE community leaders. The baggage and morality issues speak to YOU and not to everyone. The more community leaders, the better. Chief Brown is new on the scene nationally and I hope he stays there.
Idon't think that was necessary at all.
Yes it was. Those some consider a leader, may not be to others. Maudelynn happens to believe they are, thus the reason for her response.
The baggage and morality issues speak to you, was not necessary.

I agree. He uses his authority/experience and his brain when he speaks. His subordinates have no doubt where he stands when it comes to backing them or throwing them under the bus. It is too bad some of our higher up leaders cannot, or will not look at him and learn what true leadership looks like. Thoughts to all the PD Officers in Dallas, and across the USA.

With all due respect, aren't they all community leaders, small or large?

I believe most all our leaders will look at this man as an example of leadership. How his focus and common sense has led to the huge reforms he's made in the police department. His story is fascinating. His wisdom is deep.

Please don't get into a discussion comparing Sharpton and Jackson to Chief David Brown. It will only get heated and this thread will end up deleted. The op wanted to compliment Mr. Brown. Can't we just limit this to Chief Brown and save the other two for another time? Thank you to the person who gave us his background.

Maybe start a new thread about Michigan?
I'm afraid this news story will be lost within Chief Brown discussion.
