Buying a new puppy,is it too soon........

I told you guys my gizmoe pass two weeks ago,I knew i would get another dog later,but I an feeling a lot better,I know it was his time and we will not be replacing him,it is so strange not having a dog,after having him for 15 yrs,I am getting another pom this weekend.I am wondering if you guess think it is too soon.Thanks for all the replys
