First off, I want to thank everyone who kept Blackie and me in their thoughts and prayers. I really, and truly do appreciate it very, very much from the bottom of my heart.

I just got off the phone from the vet, and the blood test results are in. Blackie is slightly anemic, but not so much that the vet was concerned. Also, his blood sugars were slightly elevated, but the vet attributes that to the stress of being in unfamiliar surroundings, and getting a blood draw. He said that Blackie isn't a diabetic.

He is going to give me a prescription for amoxicillin to give to Blackie, since he responded so well the the antibiotic shot he got yesterday.

Blackie is back to eating, drinking water and using his litter box.

When I got off the phone, I let out a huge sigh of relief!

He had me scared out of my mind yesterday, and I felt as though I had been put through the wringer, and just felt so drained from all the crying and worrying I did.

So, except for a few minor hiccups, his blood test came back fine!

Yea!
