But I would say that I could probably handle spiders. Now, if a bunch of sock monkeys jumped out at me - that would be a different story and you'd probably be reading my obit, because I'd have a heart attack and die. Or clowns - heh

What is a sock monkey?

Jules: A brown recluse???? Oh My. I'm afraid I'd have to burn the house down!

I'm not too geeked out by daddy long legs but a while nest of them....gross.

Re: Be Careful what you poke...

Well I was bit by a brown recluse and came close to losing my foot. I was in the hospital for 11 days with powerful antibiotic drip. Wow was I sick and the surgery was extremely painful.

Jules kill that sucker if you find it...they are dangerous.

croemer! You hate spiders! Why are you ""poking"" around on the Internet looking for them?

Believe me I did not go looking for them...someone posted it on my FB.

Unfriend them immediately! (Your story about the brown recluse bite is scary as hail! 11 days in the hospital? lost part of your toe? Now I understand why you hate spiders so much! Yowza!)

I grew up with those Daddy Long Legs! When I go home in the summer they are all over the porch and walls at night.

If you pull a leg out it wiggles AAAAHHHHHHH

One of the comments said they aren't true spiders...Opiliones.

I would die if I saw a Brown Recluse...

What a sick thing to do. They are harmless and G's creation.

Re: Be Careful what you poke...

opiliones are their formal name--their more proper name is harvestman--and most people call them daddy-long- legs--they are Arachnida but not true spiders--not poisonous--they have a little eye on top. Smiley Happy) if a leg breaks off, it doesn't grow back--if I see one with only 4 or less legs, I step on it--better than to let it suffer--I try so hard not to step on critturs
