I only use two banks in my area. When I walked in one of them today, it struck me that the security is only for the tellers and where the money is (there are the desk people out in the open). All the teller area is completely enclosed with bullet proof glass I guess. So the customer is the one unsafe if a bank is robbed. The other bank has a contraption you go through (like a clear tunnel) that supposedly beeps if it detects a weapon. Now the customers as well as the employees are safe. Hmmm. Which would you rather have? The bank that is unsafe for customers (and will remain nameless) has a reputation of push push push to get customer business no matter what. The other is relaxed and is the opposite. What are your banks like in your areas? I feel much much better about the "safer" bank I do business with. Feels like it cares more.
