Hi Everyone,
I have a highly allergic, very dry-skinned pup. Besides getting shots at the vet-seemingly every month-for his irritated skin, I also add TheraCoat to his food morning and evening. And I just asked the vet about adding some olive oil to his meals, too. I thought the vet would poo-poo the idea, but he said that some dogs really do get relief from this addition. I only started doing this a few days ago, but he loves it and licks his bowl and every meal. Just a teapsoon or so drizzled over his dry food.
What do you ladies think of adding oils to your pet's food? I realize that not all oils are created equal. But OO has great benefits for human skin and health and there are no issues adding it to a dog's food so I thought I'd give it a try.
Now, off to bathe him with his "special" shampoo. Poor guy!
