Anyone else having bad ice dams this season?

Uggh. I will be sooo glad when this winter is over. We have had really bad ice damming this season with all the snow and cold. Been trying to rake the roof, but the ice is still backing up and leaking some water into the house. Contractors in our area are charging up to 2000.00 to steam roofs. That seems ridiculous in light of the fact that if there is already some leaking the damage is already being done. It is too late now so have to wait until they melt and then get more insulation, fix the roof as needed and hope it doesn't snow like this next season. I have read that people are having problems all over the country. A couple of people have died trying to clear their roofs.

Really waiting for winter to go away.
