Chuck Berris the host of the hit series in the 70's/early 80's, "The Gong Show"  has passed away.

I enjoyed viewing America sharing some unusual and funky talent.  I would look forward to the Gene, Gene, The Dancing Machine fill in when all the guests had been gonged.  Also the Unknown Comic who would harass one of the panel.

Only in America.

I also got a laugh out of the $1.98 Beauty Contest Show.  People.

I don't know why, but I've been thinking about The Gong Show-and all of the other productions he was involved in.

He did a lot with his life-and enjoyed it. They did a tribute on "Today".

I remember he claimed to be an assassin for the C.I.A., was that true?

just out of the blue, i was thinking about Chuck Barris a  day or so ago

he was painfully shy to be on stage.  at the last minute he decided to host the Gong Show himself because the host they hired could not grasp the humor

RIP Chuck

I remember watching that show growing up. It's too bad he passed before the reboot hit the air. I wonder if they already started filming and if he made a guest appearance before he died.
