Finished it last night. Was very very good, not sure what to think about that ending.......Not at all what I expected.........What did you all think? Do you think that Jacob was really guilty? How as a parent would you have handled it? Especially after the incident with the drowning?

I do think Jacob was guilty.  I felt that way from the beginning, but I didn't want it to be true.

This is one of my all-time favorite audiobooks!

The ending knocked my socks off.

I found the book here years ago and enjoyed it very much. I don't remember a lot of the books I read but I remembered this one and it stayed with me.

I feel that Jacob was, indeed, guilty. The ending was shocking; however, I believe Jacob's mother could not live with his guilt or her part in defending him after the beach incident.

Very good book!  I read it a few years ago and what I remember thinking is what would I do if I was his mother?....lots of interesting twists & turns.
