YUMMY EASY Ice Box Cake for Any Occasion

by on ‎07-03-2015 12:00 AM

As I was looking for recipes to make for our July fourth party, I came across this one that I just had to make & share with you!!  Just remember—I am NOT a pastry chef, as long as it tastes good… that is all that matters!  LOL

Ingredients-

2 packages of Golden Oreos

2 containers of Cool Whip

2 - 3.4 oz. boxes of Jell-O cheesecake flavored pudding (hard to find-I looked in three stores)

4.5 cups cold milk

1 pint of blueberries

1 lb. of strawberries- hulled & sliced

Directions—

Make the pudding with the 4 cups of cold milk & set aside.

Put remaining milk in to a bowl.  Dip the Oreos into the milk (quickly) then place covering the bottom of a 9 X 13” pan.

Spread half of the pudding over the cookies.  Add a single layer of strawberries, than cover these layers with a container of Cool Whip.

Use the remaining cookies, dipped in milk to make another layer.  Spread remaining pudding over this layer of cookies & add a layer of blueberries.  Save some of the blueberries to decorate the top of the cake.

Spread the remaining container of Cool Whip on top.  Now use your creative side to decorate the top.  I chose a flag theme—but you can just chop up the remaining strawberries & blueberries to make a sprinkle effect on top—it is all up to you!!

I sure do hope this is a huge success!!  Since it was so easy to make, I can make it for every party we attend this summer!!  Enjoy!!
