It’s always such a fun, busy whirlwind leading up to Today’s Special Value on QVC. And now it’s finally here! I just finished styling the table on-set at QVC with my brand-new 20-pc. Service for 4 Dinnerware Set,  and I just can’t wait to share it with you on-air. But first I wanted to share with you something my mom taught me when I was a little girl.

Once I put the finishing touch on the table set with my first-ever 5-piece dinnerware settings,  I turned around to walk out of the room…and then walked right back in. I wanted to capture that breathtaking moment of seeing a beautiful table for the first time, like your guests do when they first walk into your home.

This little trick has helped me hundreds of times! It’s a great way of seeing things through fresh eyes…whether you’re setting your table or about to walk out the door in a new outfit or hairstyle. :-)

Here’s what my “fresh eyes” told me about Today’s Special Value – my new 20-pc. Service for 4 Dinnerware:

1) The fun, new design accents I added to your favorite Old World and Floral Lace patterns really pop! I spent over a year researching designs and playing with elements that would bring these beloved temp-tations® patterns to a whole new style level.

The heart of my Old World pattern has always been the hand-painted flower motif. To update the look, I enlarged that motif, then framed it with a classical checkered border…much like you showcase a work of art with the perfect frame. I think this combo really highlights my Old World flowers in such a fresh, warm way!

For Floral Lace, I took inspiration from the fashions and style of France and added delicate Parisian stripes that perfectly complement the elegant florals. Clean, classic and très chic!

I added beautiful embossed detail to both sets, too, because I always hear how much my temp-tationistas and temp-tationisters appreciate these sculptural details. And because this set, like all temp-tations® stoneware, is oven safe up to 500 degrees, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and freezer safe, cooking and entertaining in style is still super easy…and clean-up is done before you know it. Who doesn’t love that?

2) It’s easy to dress these sets up or down, just by changing a few simple accents. This is where a quick “last look” really pays off. It often reveals the perfect opportunity to accessorize your table.

I added a jewelry-like napkin ring and metallic charger to the table for a more elegant setting. And table linens in fun, contrasting colors plus a non-traditional centerpiece make your everyday table warm, whimsical and welcoming.

3) Mixing and matching – patterns, pieces and even functions – gives you endless options!

The mug and bowl both feature a new, elegant pedestal base. Not only do the shapes stack beautifully, the elevated look also allows you to use these pieces as a mini vase or small centerpiece when you’re setting a smaller table.
