I LOVE snow, it’s my heart and soul…but that doesn’t keep me from loving this time of year too. I love being able to wear Vionic flip flops everywhere, and being warm enough to sit outside with a chilled wine. The time of year when you can actually smell the “warm” in the air.

Confession: I secretly wish I were a hair stylist. Wait, that has nothing to do with this blog. Another confession: I LOVE to decorate. I’m a lover of quirky touches. I think your home should reflect your personality, and the story of your soul. Mine is full of little touches that illustrate I don’t take decor too seriously, there is always room for whimsy and delight. (like the $5 bull horns hanging above my kitchen doorway that I got at a garage sale.) Final confession: I LOVVVEEEEEEE surfing QVC dot com shopping for things that never make it on air but are so cool, hidden treats on our website. There are plenty of them. Here is my Top Ten list of Spring / Summer things I have never presented or seen on air, that are awesome and must haves:

#10: Concrete top table. Beyond chic. Cool. Very urban meets rustic. I wish I needed an outdoor table (or kitchen nook table) I would order this in a hot minute. Even chic-er is pairing it with unexpected chairs, like velvet tufted, the kind you would see used around a dining room table.

#9: Hanging grape cluster lights. Could these be cuter? I can’t even. For wine lovers and those who secretly wish they had a grapevine pergola out of Tuscany…the next best thing, one that glows in the dark and requires no passport!

#8: Pawleys Island Single Cotton Rope Swing - I fell off a hammock once. Puerto Rico. While holding a glass of wine. I don’t blame the wine, I blame that I am not coordinated. It was most entertaining for the sunbathers nearby, not so great for my ego. I’ve always thought hammocks are more visual charm than practical comfort. But a hammock CHAIR, where you sit upright and swing island style, please cue the steel drums.

#7: Bernini Fountain. I have never seen this presented on air, and even if I’m wrong, I don’t care because to me its fresh and new and I love it. Most fountains look like they are out of ancient Rome. Gorgeous, but I lean more towards modern-zen for a fountain. This would be so killer in a corner or entryway, i just love how minimal and sculptural it is.

#6: Mr & Mrs Coolers - I have friends getting married in August. How cute would these be in a wedding gift basket. Or as a housewarming…or a “thank you for inviting me to your beach house this weekend” gift. Love.

#5: Cheryl's LadyBug Cookies - I'm sure you know just how important and symbolic ladybugs are to me and to marry them with scrumptious cookies ...... ah ... heaven!!

#4: Straw fedora. I love it. I own it. The flower trim comes off if you no likey. It's actually in the backset of my car right now. Perfect for those sudden rainy spring days or "humid hair strikes!" in summer.

#3 Bobbi Brown Beach Body Oil. I want to smell like this every day of my life. It will instantly make you happy. Like life isn’t so hard and vacation isn’t so far off.

#2: Palm Beach Leather thong sandal. There are no words.

#1: Plow & hearth Solar firefly Jar. Oh come on, wouldn't a bunch of these grapes dangling from a tree out back be sweet as pie?

(Notable Mentions:

Hanging faux Bougainvillea

Gingham Outdoor Rug/Mat. I’m delighted by things that take a new twist on an old favorite. Outdoor mats always seem to come in botanical themes, floral prints, even stripes. This gingham is so fresh and darling. I think I hear Isaac Mizrahi calling…
