NFL: Thanksgiving Week

by on ‎11-19-2012 12:23 PM

The Atlanta Falcons hopes for a perfect season went down the drain last week when the New Orleans Saints defeated them 31-27 at the Super dome.  The Saints may have saved their season but the Atlanta Falcons are still very much in control of their destiny with an 8-1 record.  This week the Saints will face the Raiders and the Falcons take on the Arizona Cardinals.

Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts continue to overachieve.  Not only did Luck set the new single game record for most passing yards by a rookie quarterback with 433 on November 4th he is on par to set the season record for passing yards by a rookie quarterback with 2,631 after only 9 games. Luck will look to add significantly to his total when his Colts take on the New England Patriots this Sunday.  Interestingly enough, if the season were to end today the Colts would make the playoffs.  Guess who they would face in their first playoff game?  Peyton Manning (the Colts’ former quarterback) and the Denver Broncos

One of the most versatile players in the NFL this season has been the Green Bay Packers’ wide receiver Randall Cobb.  This past Sunday he gave us a great sampling of his capabilities when he caught two touchdown passes against the Arizona Cardinals rushed for 29 yards on 3 carries and had a kickoff return for 44 yards and a punt return for 28.  He leads the Packers this season with 45 catches for 500 yards.

For an unbelievable sampling of QVC’s NFL merchandise tune in Thanksgiving morning.  One of the star items will be a stylish NFL Pro Line Sherpa Hoodie for Men or Women.  I’ll see you then!  Have a great week!
