My Mom's 80th Birthday Celebration

by on ‎02-12-2016 08:47 PM

Home!!! I wasn’t able to go home for Christmas, so going home for my mom’s 80th birthday party was perfect!!! I spent a glorious week out west visiting family and friends, and wow do I feel like a new woman!!

My mom turned 80!! in January, and while we’re taking a family trip later in the year to celebrate, we also wanted to have a dinner in her honor.  Here she is reading Dr. Seuss’ “You’re Only Old Once!!”

And making a wish before she blows out the candles

My nieces and nephews have grown so much since I last saw them!!! This is the older set, 16 and 13, and they’re both taller than me!

The younger set is growing too, and while they’re not big on picture-taking, I managed to grab them on the stairs.

My sister and I had dinner out.

And all three of us (my brother, my sister, and me) went out for lunch one afternoon

I enjoyed a cozy dinner at my mom’s. You can see she’s a cat lover too.

And I got girl time with my girlfriend Lori P.

Everywhere you looked in San Francisco there were signs for Super Bowl 50.

And along my walks I saw a sign that screamed “only in San Francisco!” (You have to park at 90 degree angles!!!).

The views here are one of a kind too.

It’s fun to be a tourist in this town, but frankly I always go back for the family love.
