My Inspiring Spain Vacation

by on ‎09-18-2012 10:39 AM

Over the summer, my family and I took a trip to a beautiful town called Vejer de la Frontera in the southwest part of Spain. This old, partly medieval Moorish Andalucian town overlooks the Atlantic Ocean in the mountains near Gibraltar. All of its homes are whitewashed for a quite breathtaking effect. It was a very memorable trip for the four of us (myself, Alina, and our two daughters, Dahlia and Thais). Thais is starting college this month, so we wanted to make it extra special.

Spain is one of our favorite destinations. We love the people. We love the atmosphere. We love the food. When we travel, we try to blend in with the locals and get a real feel for the area. We stayed in the most magnificent house, No. 6 The Castle. It's over a thousand years old and is nestled in the heart of this charming town.

While we’re on vacation, we love to be in the moment. We wake up whenever. We eat whenever. It’s our time to just be lazy without having to rush anywhere. Spontaneously, we decided to take a spectacular drive along the Mediterranean coast to visit the Alhambra in Grenada, a stunning royal fortress built in the 1200s.

It was the most amazing experience. We took endless pictures of the complex and were all infinitely inspired by its majestic design. I'm certain what we saw that day will inspire some of our future packaging. Its magnificent gardens were so rich in scents that it gave me inspiration for a new fragrance.
