Happy National Drive-In Movie Day! Do you remember?? I vaguely remember my parents taking my brother and I to see a flick or two in New Orleans. The window-side speakers, the concession trays that propped on the side of your car, getting out of the car and running around (even though we weren't supposed to!). But the reason this day resonates with me is that my grandparents used to manage several drive-ins in TX and LA!

In fact, it was at the concession stand at one of those drive ins that my parents met. My mom was working the concession stand when my dad stopped in for snacks. The rest is history! I asked my mom if she had photos of any of the drive-ins where the family worked. And being the family historian, of course she delivered in spades! Check out my tour down Drive-In Memory Lane...

Do you have fond memories of the drive-in? What was your favorite outdoor flick??
