L’Occitane: Our TSV & the Real “L” Word She Wants to Hear

L'Occitane Shea Enchante Bath & Body Collection

Just hearing “L’Occitane” brings other “L” words women adore, like love, luxury, lush, and lavish, to mind…and all of them apply to our Today’s Special Value on November 20. The Shea Enchante Bath & Body Collection is comprised of six scent-sational, pampering pieces: 7-oz Ultra Rich Body Cream, 5.2-oz Shea Vanilla Hand Cream, 1-oz Shea Hand Cream, two Extra-Gentle Milk Soaps, and finally, depending on which scent you painstakingly choose, Almond Shower Oil or Lavender Shower Gel.

While the fine, authentic ingredients and soft, natural scents found in this indulging assortment can be appreciated and enjoyed any time of year, the mega-moisturizing balms are absolutely essential for winter. The hand creams are enriched with a very high content of shea butter (20%) to nourish and soften chapped, dry skin. Every application of these delightfully decadent formulas makes your hands feel hydrated and supple. The 1 oz is perfect for popping in your purse, while the 5.2 oz is very significant in size, so it should last you all season and beyond. Despite their dense texture, they absorb into the skin without leaving oily traces behind. The exceptionally concentrated body cream, which is 25% shea butter, looks like thick whipped cream and feels like satin on the skin. It’s an impressive 7 oz that you’ll be able to luxuriate in for quite a while. With the milk soaps sitting alongside your bathroom sink, you and your holiday guests will feel like you’ve been transported to a five-star hotel. They, too, are infused with shea butter, so you might want to keep one of them in your shower as a non-drying bar soap for the winter.

The choice of the Almond Shower Oil and the Lavender Shower Gel is where it gets tricky. After alternating between the two, I, at this moment, THINK I prefer the Almond Shower Oil by an almost miniscule margin, and the reason is this: its almond fragrance is so much lighter and more botanical than any other almond-scented product I’ve used in the past...probably because it’s enriched with actual almond oil. Plus, it comes out of the bottle as viscous oil and turns into a delicate foam when you add water (so cool). BUT, if surrounding yourself with the essence of lavender from Haute-Provence sounds more appealing to you, you’ll be delighted with this relaxing, gentle cleanser made with real lavender essential oil.

This sumptuous set comes in a gorgeous holiday gift box, but it can be broken up into four or five substantial individual gifts. If you give someone (other than yourself) the entire box, please make sure you really, really like them. I’m talking best-friend status. It’s a total value of $107. That’s a whole lot of L’Occitane love, so even though it only costs $64.96, you should save it for the nicest girls and boys (my boyfriend is hoarding my Ultra Rich Body Cream) on your list.

I hope you and your families have a very happy (and delicious) Thanksgiving!
