Dream of a White Christmas Decor--and Chocolate Cherry S'mores Bark!

Hi, everyone!

It’s easy for me to think “happy” thoughts about snow and wintertime when it’s 93 degrees outside. But even in the dead of winter, when it seems the cold will never end, there’s something about freshly fallen snow that’s just so beautiful. Maybe it’s the blanket of quiet that wraps itself around the roads, houses, and trees. Or maybe it’s the shimmering white that covers all of the world’s imperfections. But I love watching it fall and I love to bring that unblemished beauty inside when I decorate for the holidays.

I’ve introduced this concept once before, but let’s revisit: decorators need fuel. Specifically, festive, chocolaty, gets-you-in-the-holiday-spirit fuel. So while you transform your home into an indoor winter wonderland, why not munch on some Chocolate Cherry S’mores Bark!

Chocolate Cherry S’mores Bark

This recipe is prepared with the Emeril Pro Series 2-Piece Raised Cullen E-Knife Set (K42273).

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz block of white chocolate, chopped or white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup toffee chips
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chocolate graham crackers, broken into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup candied cherries

Preparation:

1. Melt the white chocolate in a stainless steel bowl over a pot of simmering water until smooth and creamy. Do not let the water touch the bottom of the bowl.

2. Pour the melted chocolate onto a silicone or silicone-lined baking sheet. Spread the chocolate into a large rectangle. Beginning with the toffee chips, sprinkle each ingredient evenly over the melted chocolate. Push down on the candied cherries to make sure they're set.

3. Let the bark cool 2 hours, or refrigerate for 20 minutes to speed up the process. Once cooled and hardened, break the bark into pieces.

So make some bark for you, then make some for your new neighbor down the street. Or for your sister-in-law--who’s hosting the holiday meal again this year. Don’t forget your kids’ teachers. And maybe your co-workers…..

I’ll see you tomorrow for You’re Home with Jill(R) at 7pm ET!

From my home to yours,
