Hi QVC Pet Loving Friends!!

I'm so happy that you are all enjoying my new monthly feature, "Carolyn's Fur Baby of the Month"!

THIS month, the featured pet is one of our cats, named PURRL. Purrl came to us as a tiny orphan, the only one of a rescued litter that was not adopted. She was SO tiny and had HUGE ears on her little head, and the shortest tail I'd ever seen on a kitten. She could fit in the palm of my hand. She was so little that she had to be isolated from the other cats in our family until she received all of her shots and could hold her own with the big cats.

So, for several weeks, she was only allowed to spend time with the dogs. They adored her (and still do) and the feeling is mutual. Purrl often thinks she IS one of the dogs and spends much of her day as an adult cat, hanging out with them.

She has a dandy time with the other cats too and is now "1st Lieutenant" to our "Top Cat", Grey Poupon. She is a VERY smart cat....the Vet noticed it right away on her first visit. She has very wise eyes and is a very old soul. She comes when called and does what she's told (not a common thing for most cats, as we cat lovers know) and although she is very independent, she is much like a dog, in that she is eager to please and loves being with us whenever possible. "Aloof" is not in her vocabulary, although she does like to "Cat Chat" with us, the other pets and the birds outside the windows!! 

Fur Baby of the Month 

Name:   Purrl  (My Human Dad thought of that name ...That's me as a baby hanging around in his robe pocket!)

Age:      4 years

Height:  Tall enough to reach the tippy top of the cat scratching post! (Mom claps really LOUDLY when I try to scratch the arm of the chair instead!!)

Weight:  A Svelte Size "Kitty Girl 8 pounds"

Breed:  American Short Hair/Grey Tabby

Likes:   Snuggling with ALL the doggies who live here AND my Mama, too!

(When I was a little bitty kitten, the dogs were my very first friends in my new home and were so nice to me and I've never forgotten that!) I also like Fancy Feast with EXTRA GRAVY and ANYTHING with a FEATHER on it!!

Dislikes:  DUH....Going anywhere in that awful box called a Pet Carrier.. MEOW!!

Also, I am quite a strong-willed girl and don't like being told what to do. However, I'm no dummy and on the RARE occasion that I get scolded, I immediately turn on my charms and PURR really loudly and twist around my Mom and Dad's legs.

Best Fur Friend:  Hmmm....a Tie between Johnny the Dog and Nelson the Cat

(When Nelson was little, he thought I was his Mama....We used to like to sit on the window sill together, but now it's kinda tight since HE got so big!)

Can usually be found :   Inside any QVC box that was just unpacked...of ANY SIZE. I am in there in seconds....and even try to fit inside the littlest boxes. I figure if my head fits in there, then no one can see the rest of me either...right?
