Dad's Visit

I might be 50 years old, but I’m still a “daddy’s girl,” so I was thrilled to have my dad visit me for a weekend (and to see my new home!).  This was his first visit ever to the Philadelphia area, so we wanted to make the most of it. We started with a tour of QVC!

Here he is in our QVC atrium.

And meeting our Saturday Morning Q hosts, Kerstin and David.

And of course we had to take a pic on set.

My dad is a Walt Whitman expert, and despite the fact that tours were suspended for this particular weekend (boo hiss), I wanted to make the drive so that he could at least see the outside!

We had breakfast at a new spot in West Chester.

And I grabbed Gelato from my favorite place.

We browsed a farmer’s market in Philly.

And visited Penn’s Landing, so I could find some fried dough!!

And we visited the Independence Seaport Museum (so we could get out of the heat and in to some air conditioning!!!).

We did a lot, but the best part was just being with him and talking. We talked about his life, my life, and lessons learned. We always see each other during our family holidays, but having him all to myself for an entire weekend was truly special! I love my dad to infinity and beyond, and I know that I’m lucky to have him.

Is anyone coming to visit you this summer? I would love to hear about it!
