Come Visit Chapel Hill, NC!

by on ‎08-01-2015 10:50 PM

Part of our QVC crew has arrived in Chapel Hill, NC and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be here! I’ll be hosting live hits from UNC while David is in the studio in West Chester, PA on Sunday, August 2nd. THEN, of course, on Wednesday, August 5th, David joins us here, at his alma mater, and we’ll be broadcasting In the Kitchen with David LIVE from Chapel Hill, NC! SO FUN!

So, why not make a trip here yourself? I have learned some things that I would love to pass on to you. AND, if you’re here for the show, why not explore a little bit and make a whole week out of it, if you can??

Tuesday night, from 6pm-7pm, David will have a book signing at the Root Cellar on Martin Luther King Blvd! All the details can be found on the Flyleaf website. Bring your cookbooks OR buy some there and David will sign them!

Our new friend, Laurie, from www.visitchapelhill.org had lots of GREAT suggestions! “Outdoor movies, Southern Village music on the lawn, Farmers Market, Botanical Gardens, Dining, Mapleview Farm while enjoying an ice cream watching the sun set and more. Plus Basketball Museum, campus walks, Morehead and art gallery hops, Micro-brews, private Vodka Distillery tour…” You can visit their website too if you would like more details.

This area has more than 300 amazing restaurants! Personally, I recommend the Shrimp & Grits at Spanky's - Smiley Happy

Another one of our new Chapel Hill friends, Amanda from The Town of Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation team, offered up great information from the Parks & Rec group too! In this area, there are so many great Farmer’s Markets, Movies Under the Stars, Concerts at 140 W Plaza, Festifall, etc. So many fun things to do, places to see, and GREAT food to eat!
