Today, I started getting my Christmas trees out. I know it's crazy early, but I was looking at my schedule and realized that it's going to be a very busy holiday. And, if I don't get started now, I won't get them finished until New Year's!
I think there are a lot of things about the holidays that are better if you get them done early: working on your gift list, decorating, getting a few things to wear for those holiday get-togethers, etc. Starting today, and every week 'til New Year's, I'll be finding 10 things to help you get ready for the holidays. Of course, a lot of my gift picks will be well, gifts, but I thought this week we could start getting our holiday wardrobe together. (You know, buying something new to wear always makes things go better.) So some things for us, some things for gifts, some things for us...did I say mention some things for us?
This dress in black is the perfect holiday party dress. It flatters your figure, frames your jewelry, and never makes it look like you’re trying too hard.
This necklace is one of my all-time favorites. I own it and never get tired of it. It’s stunning.
I love a big ring for the holidays and this one is gorgeous!
It’s nice to have an earring that’s special for a holiday look, but can be worn year round. This one is something special, but doesn't compete with a necklace. And, it can be worn alone for a more everyday look.
One sequin piece makes everything look holiday. From jeans to a pencil skirt, this shell is easy and glamorous.
Both colors in this dress are an updated silhouette that'll take you into holiday. They’re also extremely forgiving. With the emphasis on the draping, you’re covered, but right on trend.
A sequin scarf adds a little warmth if you're wearing it to a party, or gives you the sparkle you need if you wear it all evening. It can take a simple everyday dress and make it look special.
If sequins are a bit much for you, velvet is the perfect holiday alternative. Imagine this jacket with big earrings and stacked up bangles, and it's a party!
Drape me in strands of big, gorgeous pearls and I’m a happy woman! I own these and love them. They're perfect for wearing, giving, or receiving.
To me, this is the ultimate "dress up" cuff. You don't have to go "black tie," but it definitely makes whatever you wear look special.
See you soon!
