Celebrating Love, Family and the USA!

Sean and I decided to take our honeymoon on the 1 year anniversary of our wedding. We chose to go to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for a relaxing getaway! The beautiful beaches and fresh coconuts were exactly what we needed.

Upon my return and after many years of going through the immigration process to become an American citizen, I was called in to complete the final step of the process which consisted of an interview as well as an American history exam. I was so nervous going in, but I must say I was beyond relieved when the immigration officer handed me a page outlining I had passed! I am so excited and proud to become a US citizen! The naturalization ceremony comes next!

The following day my family flew in from Australia and we have had an action packed couple of weeks! After bringing my dad with me for a visit to the Q, I threw a surprise party for my youngest sister Tammi’s birthday. As my gift to her, I took the family to a cookie-making class at this fun place in New York City called Make Meaning. We had such a blast designing our own cookies! I also designed her a custom ‘New York City” birthday cake, take a look! After the party, the family and I took a road trip to the Berkshires for a weekend getaway.

I am now back in the design studio finalizing my designs for next season and looking forward to being back on the Q this week on Friday for Shawn Say’s Accessorize!
