August Unmistakably Judith

Hello all,

As a woman who built a business from scratch while raising three young boys, I think of myself as fairly decisive.  My intuition guides me, and when I have any doubts, I can always rely on my inner compass.  In choosing this month’s Unmistakably Judith piece, however, I was torn.

To start, I knew it had to be one of my very favorite Sterling Gemstone designs.  These two pieces – a gorgeous wide cuff and stunning cocktail ring – have a beautiful color palette which to me is the perfect complement for summer days and nights spent by the water.   The mix of blues echo the colors of the ocean – graduated ovals of clean blue turquoise and blue hematite doublets, plus blue topaz baguettes in the cuff.  The meticulously carved white mother of pearl and finishes of white diamonique are the spray on the waves.  And lastly, the round chrome diopside is as green as the fresh sea grass in the dunes.  When I was designing these pieces I knew immediately what stones I would select to execute the vista I had in my mind, with the perfect balance and proportion of colors!

The gem layouts are so intricate they are truly works of art – you’ll notice some new detail or nuance each time you look at them.

But when it came time to choosing between the Sterling Gemstone Cuff and the Sterling Gemstone Ring, I couldn’t decide which was more worthy of being this month’s highlighted item from my collection.

In the end, after consulting many friends and, of course, my colleague Beth, I decided I just couldn’t choose – my Unmistakably Judith pieces this month are a suite that simply belong together!  I hope you have an easier time making up your own minds than I did.

With love,

Judith
