Another Fall Update: C. Wonder, New Routines, Inspired Style, and LA

by on ‎10-19-2012 02:52 PM

Hi ladies! How are you doing?  Are you enjoying fall and all the fashion, food, and festivities that come with it? Steve and I sure are and that means apple cider donuts on Sunday Funday, warm crockpot meals throughout the week, and boots on our feet.  We really do love fall and I think it has a lot to do with living in NYC for so many years.  Summer can be tough in the city between the subways, no pools, no central air so we always looked forward to the first crisp cool days of fall where living was bearable again.  I think that excitement for fall has always stuck with us.

This fall in particular has been a little different for us as Steve started a new job.  I think I may have told you in the past that he is in car sales.  Well last month he switched dealerships which means his schedule changed too.  We now have a streak of four days where we get to see each other every night but then a streak of three days where he works till 9 and we don't see each other.  Still getting use to that but it sure makes that first day where we are together awfully enjoyable.  The good thing is one of his late nights is Thursday and since I have Inspired Style that night I'm not completely lonely.  In fact I'm writing this on a Thursdsay! I just finished watching Dancing with the Stars from the DVR (so good this season), have dinner simmering on the stove top and am sitting at the counter top writing to you.

There are a few things I want to share with you about Inspired Style while I have you, lol. First, our next show will be our last BUT just for 2012.  We thought since Inspired Style is really about shopping for yourself and the holidays are about shopping for others we would take a small hiatus for the rest of the year.  Now having said that you know we have to go out with something big so the other thing I want to tell you, get ready for the debut of C. Wonder!!!!!! If you don't know yet on the 26th you will discover this incredible brand all about adding flair, style, and personalization to your outfits. They have some seriously cute shoes, fun jewelry, and terrific handbags.  It's all based off of some of the fine pieces that you see in rather expensive stores but with C. Wonder the look becomes more affordable.  I absolutely cannot wait to show you everything.  The whole hour will be devoted to the line but will still have Fun $, Trendspotting, and Girl Talk it will just revolve around the C. Wonder brand and what a brand it is!

This is Hillary from Who What Wear, an amazing Fashion Website.

Both of these C. Wonder necklaces will be featured on IS next week!

When Hillary & I were in NYC, the C.Wonder team gave us a challenge. You'll have to tune in to see what I'm talking about.

In other Q news, we did just get back from LA.  I had so much fun even though I was only there for 48 hours. I got to go to a great restaurant for dinner one night, got to meet and hang out with two dynamite fashion bloggers, and of course got to take in the fab weather and fab fashion. That's where I was Inspired to wear a print on print, tie my scarf in a circle, and go for a hot pink lip. Now I'm home and incorporating my new found ideas with what's in my closet and making lots of new outfits without buying a thing.  I'll take that!

Other than the trip to LA, Steve and I have been low key lately.  I went back to the gym after they were closed for a month.  It was tough trying to get my strength back after 30 days of letting myself be lazy.  I never want to do that again.  I tried to walk and run but it's the lifting where I see a big difference and feel my strongest.  Last Sunday we did have a fun day where we took a hike in the woods, went out to lunch, and came home to pork in the crock pot.  The weekend before I had some major fun when I met up with my parents and Abby and Reese (the nieces) at a small local zoo. It reminded me of the movie We Bought a Zoo, super cute and you could feed some of the animals.  We had a blast and anytime I can be around those two little girls, I'm a very happy lady. Oh, and the fact that my dad and I shared a big block of double chocolate chunky fudge made me happy too.

We don't have any plans for the rest of the month and heck we're not even sure what we are doing for Thanksgiving yet.  I'm sure by my next blog I'll know and I'll be able to share some more adventures with you.  In the mean time you know how I like to sign off, with random thoughts from Amy.

Discovered a new Yankee Candle scent I love, Egyptian Sandalwood.  My new fav song at the moment, Why Ya Wanna(can you tell I like country?). I'm slightly addicted to pumpkin spice lattes, more than ever.  I now truly believe that Nick Chavez's soft flocker could be the best thing to happen to hair.  Saw two not so good movies and now do not recommend Lawless or The Master.  Steve and I didn't let ourselves tune into one new TV show this fall as we want to start trying to go to bed earlier, so far so good but I'll let you know when we break.  Oh, we also are hoping to go to Williamsburg around the holidays and will let you know if that works out too.  And lastly, switching my face wash and not using Purity for the first time in three years and already want to switch back!

Hope you are doing well!!

See you for Inspired Style or Qcheck, or whatever show you might be watching that I might be hosting, lol.

See you soon,

Amy
