Alberti’s EASY Baked Crescent Churros

I love Churros! They are my favorite Mexican dessert! Fried dough, sugar, and a hint of cinnamon – could life get any better? Well, imagine creating that EXACT same flavor without having to fry with oil? I’m SOLD!

Well, here is the recipe you’ll want to print out, and place at the front of your dessert section of your recipe index. You’ll be able to use it for all of your 'Taco Tuesday' get togethers; but you can switch up the filling and sprinkle powdered sugar over the top for a fabulous brunch dessert or holiday treat!

And if you never thought you could bake something fabulous without spending hours in the kitchen – this is SUPER easy and I urge you to try it!! It’s fun AND delicious!!

Here’s what you’ll need:

2 tabelspoons sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 can (8oz) Pilsbury refrigerated crescent rolls

2 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  2. Unroll dough, separate into 4 rectangles. Press perforations to seal.
  3. Brush tops of 2 rectangles with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar mixture.Top each with remaining rectangles, press edges lightly, brush tops with melted butter.
  4. Using a pizza slicer, cut each rectangle stack lengthwise into 6 strips.Twist each strip 3 times; place on parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
  5. Bake 9-11 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Brush tops with any remaining melted butter; sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.
