A Day In My Life

Hello ladies!

I’m beyond thrilled to let you know that I will be joining you on QVC for my first one-hour show in just a few days! Since I launched my TULA skincare line exclusively with QVC more than a year ago, I have heard such great feedback from you all through your generous reviews and messages. It’s because of you that I’m here today!

This has been a busy year and I often get asked: “What does a day look like for you? So before our one hour show together, I thought I’d share with you a sneak peek at my daily routine:

6am: Wake up to get to the television studio. I’m the morning news correspondent for Good Day New York twice a week and appear regularly on other shows like TODAY and the Dr. Oz Show.

Thank goodness I’m blessed to work with some of the best makeup and hair pros in the industry who make sure I look my best even that early in the morning! TV makeup can be heavy and drying so I always use my TULA Hydrating Day & Night Cream as a base to keep my skin silky smooth and soft despite all the makeup and general wear and tear of my daily life.

9:30am: After a morning show, I head off to my office to see my patients. Most days I perform procedures - usually colonoscopies and endoscopies. The most fascinating part of my work as a gastroenterologist is that I can actually look inside someone's intestines and fix a problem right then and there - like removing a precancerous polyp.

4:00pm: After patients, I check in with my TULA team. Right now we’re preparing some exciting new products that we’ll be launching next year!

5pm: I try to be home by 5 or 6pm to enjoy time with my two boys. They are 6 and 8 and growing up way to fast!

7pm: I am a big believer in finding balance through exercise, so I try to hit the gym almost everyday. I am basically addicted at this point. Daily yoga and meditation practice is a must for me too. I grew up Buddhist, so I try to be mindful – even if it’s just for a few minutes on the floor in my living room!

10pm: I try to go to bed by10pmat the latest. I always take at least 15 minutes before bed to wind down by reading. I have a thing for British mystery novels so there are usually a few on my nightstand! Sleep is so important not only for your health but also for your skin so I try to get at least 7-8 hours.

These days are full and sometimes it’s hard to balance it all, but the truth is that I have tons of help and I am not afraid to ask for more. Support is key and I am very lucky to have an incredibly helpful husband who is always happy to watch the kids if I have an early morning shoot or have to travel for work.

I would love to get a glimpse into a day in your life! What time-saving beauty tips make your everyday life easier? Share them in the comments below or tweet me at @DrRoshiniRaj!
