Why does Sweet Almond mint require less cleanser?

I'm reading through the catalog that came with my TSV and the recommended number of "pumps" for SAM are far less than the other cleansers. For hair shorter than chin, it recommends only 8 pumps of SAM but 16 pumps of Lavender. Being a cheapskate, I want to change my future shipments to SAM now, LOL! Anyone know the reason for this? And how do the number of pumps translate to the 32 ounce bottle from the TSV? I only used about 5 pumps and it seemed to thoroughly penetrate my hai and cleanse it really well but maybe that wasn't enough really? Thanks for the help!
