What covers age spots on the face best?

Thank you in advance. I just noticed yesterday that I have a couple of age spots on my face (porcelain skin) that I hadn't noticed until yesterday. I don't like seeing them. My makeup is fairly light. Should I just select a darker shade? Am using Revlon Photo Ready and love it because it's not a heavy liquid makeup.
