ULTA and coupons

I am hoping someone can help me with this question. I have recently started shopping at my local ULTA for beauty items but have been wondering about coupons. I know in the ads you get in the mail there are sometimes coupons or there is one you can print online. But can use also use the coupons that come in the local paper for example a $1 off any Cover Girl product? And can that coupon be combined with an Ulta $3.50 off of $10 purchace coupon?

Hope someone can set me in the right direction. Thanks in advance {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}
