OK ladies, I need some advice. I'm what I consider a low maintenance Person. I color my hair at home and get it trimmed about every 6-8 weeks. I've been going to the same stylist for a little over a year and am very happy with how she cuts my short thinning hair. Had it cut today and I'm loving it.
Usually I just get a shampoo & cut. With my short hair blow drying isn't necessary, just push it in place with my fingers. Her charge is $26 and I give a $5 tip.
Now to my dilemma. I've decided that coloring with the drugstore products isn't giving good coverage on my gray hair. I talked to her today about having her do my color on my next visit. With a haircut and color the cost is $85. The 2 services together save a little money from doing them separately.
For an $85 service what is a reasonable tip? I'm thinking maybe $15. Thats a real splurge for me, but if my hair looks better, than its worth it. Now I have to convince myself of that.
What do you think?
