Anyone else get an email revealing that ShopNBC is soon going to be called ShopHQ? Note the new name has a Q for one shopping channel and an H for another. What is going on? Did NBC want to distance itself from a shopping channel?

Funny.  The thread is 4 years old and it's been ShopHQ and Evine since then.  Apparently now a new buyout and name are in the works.  Will be interesting to see what happens in another 4 years.

Interesting,  This article says the Evine board has rebuffed its suitors several times, so the suitors have made a direct appeal to shareholders.  One is Marvin Segal, whose father founded QVC.  The article from Minneapolis discusses the challenges facing TV home shopping.

@ValuSkr, thank you for the article. Found it interesting reading. When I first saw this I worried why a post from 4 years ago was popping up. Time will tell if the consumer will benefit from the takeover.

One wonders if some people who post on these boards even WATCH shopping channels.
