STO--Help please!

I received my first order from STO yesterday--the black soap and the Argan and Rosemary Cleansing Oil. I'm not sure what order to use them in. I tried using the black soap first, and then following up with the oil. They suggest putting the oil on a cotton ball, but the cotton soaks up all the oil...I'd have to use a ton, and the bottle's pretty small. Also, am I supposed to rinse the oil off afterwards?

TIA for any suggestions.
