Retinol is yellow?

That is what the vendor for Beauty BioScience said on HSN today. She said it is a gold color and if your retinol product is not yellow or yellowish, it doesn't have enough retinol. I'm thinking it is true because the Isomers Retiniacin and the Tretinoin cream I used to have did have a yellowish color.

Re: Retinol is yellow?

I saw that same episode. All of my perscription retinols over the years were never yellow. So I wonder.. is the non yellow?

Re: Retinol is yellow?

@EllenKay  Your's was an Rx, correct? If so, that's is why. Rx only items tend to be and I think it's due to something they add to it. OTC (non Rx) should be a shade of yellow.

I had this conversation a few years ago with a family member who had just become a pharmacist. I had no idea!

Re: Retinol is yellow?

I use one of Paula's Choice retinol products and it is a yellowish color.
