I was online early this morning when a slew of old threads started being bumped up by this person. "Interesting" was the same comment on each post. I immediately called QVC and reported this activity to a supervisor.

The supervisor is will do her best to get this activity stopped ASAP but it may take a bit of time (since the customer service office is closed). I also have reported about 20-30 of these posts as being inappropriate.

They need to have at least one webbie working to take care of this sort of problem when it arises at 3 am.

mistriTsquirrel, agreed. The supervisor I spoke to was nice, but she told me that she was going to have to figure out what to do. I hope she does it soon. This sort of thing just really irritates me.

On the other hand...how sad is this person who gets his/her kicks by bumping up old threads? I've been to some pretty low places, but I've never been pathetic enough to see something like that as worthy of my time.

It was a really, really long day and I was looking forward to unwinding with a bit of forum chat, but that's gone to heck in a hand basket. In any case, I've reported a good number of Farnell's Beauty Forum posts. I'm off to bed.

It would be great if this post could be kept bumped up to the top of the page in the morning. This way everyone will understand why the first page of the Beauty Forum has been papered with old posts.

I am actually amazed at all the posts he/she was able to respond to: hundreds, if not thousands. Wonder if he/she had help. What a colossal waste of time and effort.

Actually, the poster said, "In testing," which makes me wonder if it was a Q IT person working in the wrong environment. (Technical people usually have a separate environment where they can implement and test new code.) The person had 500 posts, too.
