Wasn't in trouble for using performance-enhancing drugs? Or am I confusing him with someone else? I don't follow baseball very closely.

No trouble for Jeter, you are confusing him with A Rod.

I thought I read he's retiring at the end of this coming season, so you still get to enjoy him and root for him till fall!

Re: OT---Aww, Jeter retired...

I knew when he broke his ankle and needed all the pins and plates and surgery on it, he wouldn't be able to continue pro baseball(even with his superior physical condition and resources). I had that same injury and it's a loooooong recovery.

He has always been a class act. And a gentleman. The last of the core four to retire. They all gave us some very happy memories.
