Everytime I turn on my LeMieux Ultrasonic machine my dog Grace shoots out her dog door and onto the sun porch and stays there till I am done?? She can be an entire room away and if I turn it on I can hear the flap on her dog door shortly after. The sound is barely audible to me. Hard to believe she can hear it and is disturbed by it. Makes me feel bad when I use it, lol.

Dogs have a much wider range of hearing than humans.

Yeah, my guy can't stand to hear me use it either. He has pretty sensitive hearing

That's interesting, evidently she does hear it and very well. Is there a rating on these ,like mega hertz or something that measures the frequency?

My dog, also named Grace, doesn't like it either. I only use the LeMieux when she is outside in the yard or out on a walk with DH. I assume that the sound is irritating to her sensitive ears.
