How do you remove the hair on your legs?

I have always shaved my legs but lately, it seems i am nicking myself badly every time i do for some reason. So what methods do you all use? does anyone use Nair or a similar product? And do you feel it works well? I am italian heritage so i have a lot of hair on my legs and i never thought these type products would work but lately i think i need a different method for removing hair from my legs.have they improved these products?
