I have been getting highlights/lowlights for more years than I care to admit. I'd get foils every other haircut (about 4x/year). Lately, I've been having a few grays pop up. Not noticeable, perhaps, to anyone other than me and my 10x magnifying mirror, but enough to bother me. That meant touchups to my color with every haircut. I decided to try to do my own roots. I tried Clairol Nice N Easy since it advertises multi dimensional. I was really pleased with the result, natural looking sunkissed blonde (I used the medium neutral blonde). However, my gray friends at my temples popped up in about 2 weeks. Memorial Day, I tried Garnier Nutrisse (sp?) and hated it. It made my hair look very flat, Just today noticed a few gray strays. That's a much longer lasting gray coverage. My question is, can I mix the 2? Can I use Garnier to cover the gray and then use Clairol for the actual color I'd like? Sorry it's a novel, but I don't want to fry my hair. TIA
