Help! Hair color surprise.....

I've been using a dark blond Nice & Easy color for a while & decided I wanted to go just a shade darker. I picked a Garnier light brown because I had a coupon. Well it is way past light brown & to make matters worse it is spotty. Is there anything I can do to tone it down, soften it up & even it out? Help
