First time cleanse ever 3/10 - need feedback

I received the TSV days ago and just tried it now. My hair is 98% straight, teensiest hint of a wave. I bought the SAM and read that the appropriate number of pumps is 8 per cleanse for shoulder length hair. I pumped out 4 and applied to my hair. It does lather a bit and my hair was dripping in the stuff. I didn't apply the additional pumps. I showered and rinsed in cool water for a bit and decided to forgo the 2nd cleanse. I felt it would be a waste. Am I wrong? I normally shampoo once only. I am now air drying my hair just to see what it looks like. I don't expect miracles since I don't have problem hair to begin with. There was a bit of hair in the drain but that happens when I comb through and rinse a long time using regular shampoo too. Normally I don't rinse as long or comb through. Sorry for the long paragraph. Using iPod touch. Thanks for any insight and comments. I guess I'm just talking out loud.
