Finally got an acceptable answer from Tarte regarding their eye shadows and China

Emailed Tarte and got the standard "they are formulated in the US". I emailed them again and asked where they were actually mixed, not formulated and this is the reply I got from Jennifer Jennifer Crimmins from Tarte. "The products are mixed here in the US and sent to China, Italy and France to be filled into their components. Thank you." So they actually are made in the US.
